X3 MOV Technology Solutions


Virtually all AC surge suppression products employ MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) technology as their main surge suppression component, being economical and effective.

MOV is power protection device that is able to recognize surge conditions and reacts by shunting excess energy away from equipment via the electrical grounding system. However, there is much risk of fire and electrical hazard using the traditional MOV, resulting from arcing due to its explosive breakdown as it encountered a catastrophic and abnormal surge event.
